July 2016, when summer descended upon its London fans...

What better reason to celebrate life with family, friends, music & good food than a sunny weekend in the capital, announcing the return of hot weather? And if you add a free, fun-filled, eclectic festival like Walthamstow Garden Party - it sounds just irresistible!

Marking the festival's third year in Lloyd Park in east London, 2016's programme got even bigger and better according to its organisers, with an exciting mix of local and international talent, showcasing the communities and creativity of Waltham Forest.[…]

Hackoustic Presents at Iklectik (May 2017)

This past Bank Holiday weekend was truly interesting, mainly because of this event I attended and photographed on Saturday. It was Hackoustic's third of this kind and it offered audiences a cool, relaxed evening of performances, talks, demonstrations and sound installations featuring designer Chloe Meineck, researcher Diego Baresch, instrument builder Dan Wilson and artist Rodrigo Viterbo.[…]

RCM Sparks Workshop (Sep 2016)

RCM Sparks Workshop (Sep 2016)

A couple of weeks ago I got the wonderful opportunity to document my first RCM Sparks workshop through event photography. Although familiar with the Royal College of Music's innovative learning and participation programme, being there to capture the magic was a truly inspiring experience.

What makes SPARKS so amazing is that a bunch of dedicated and talented musicians work together with communities to widen participation in music. Young people from different backgrounds get connected through a performing art, under the guidance of the next generation of music educators.

RCM Big Band ft Dave Weckl at Festival of Percussion (Jul 2016)

RCM Big Band ft Dave Weckl at Festival of Percussion (Jul 2016)

The RCM Big Band directed by British jazz trumpeter Guy Barker and guest starring legendary drummer Dave Weckl. What a grand finale to an amazing day-long event and a truly unmissable opportunity for my life performance photography!

Hosted in the lovely Britten Theatre just opposite the Royal Albert Hall, the evening concert was a tribute to American jazz drummer Buddy Rich’s best known works. Alongside some world-class talent, young musicians from the Royal College of Music joined forces to close one of my favourite annual events in style - the Festival of Percussion. I just had to attach a photo memento of last nights's brilliant event!

St Cecilia Ensemble at St James's Piccadilly (Mar 2016)

A few weeks back in March I had the pleasure of photographing the young British composer / conductor Richard Miller professionally once again, as part of an exciting mix between lifestyle portraits and event photography.

Having met Richard a few years ago, our first collaboration happened when he first took on the conducting role from his senior Pablo Urbina, for the fantastic Royal College of Music Student Film Orchestra.  [...]

Light of Music concert at Cadogan Hall (Jan 2016)

There is something exciting about the beginning of a new year and new projects, ventures and collaborations. Well 2016 brought just that in the month of January: I got to shoot my first concert at the lovely Cadogan Hall in Sloane Square with the Light of Music Philharmonic Orchestra.

And if you happen to be less familiar with it, the Cadogan Hall is one of London's leading concert venues, located in the heart of Chelsea [...]

Canary Wharf Spiegeltent Circus (Sep 2015)

Canary Wharf Spiegeltent Circus (Sep 2015)

What is it about circus that's so mysterious, exciting, euphoria-inducing, scary and somehow poetic at the same time? Is it the after dark performances, is it the characters portrayed, the costumes or the routines? The element of danger, the feeling of naughtiness and pushing boundaries? It might as well be all of these things, collectively casting a spell that's always fascinated my photographic senses. [...]

Canary Wharf Spiegeltent Cabaret (Sep 2015)

Professional event photography for Canary Wharf's Spiegeltent this September? Don't mind if I do! The fabulous programme spread over 11 days is promising to pour some fun and excitement of artistic nature into London's new banking and finance district at Canary Wharf.

If you admire performing arts as much as I do, a festival of fun with such an eclectic schedule of entertainment is truly a reason of exhilaration for any live performance photographer! [...]

Canary Wharf Jazz Festival (Aug 2015)

Every year mid-August, one of my personal highlights of being around in London - as an event photographer and a music lover - is the Canary Wharf Jazz Festival.

It's the capital’s largest free jazz festival that's bringing together music fans from all different corners of the world [...]

London City Orchestra at National Musicians' Church - An American in London (Jul 2015)

London City Orchestra at National Musicians' Church - An American in London (Jul 2015)

Musical fireworks on the 4th of July! That's how I would summarize London City Orchestra's concert 'An American in London' from St Sepulchre's Church a few weeks ago. Led by the brilliant and ever passionate conductor Pablo Urbina and with a soloist as talented as Oliver Poole, they put on the ideal performance to celebrate America's most iconic composers and of course, Independence Day!

Down in the heart of the City of London, St Sepulchre's  Church vibrates through faith and music. Also known as National Musicians' Church [...]
