Event Photography for Arizona State University - Thunderbird Alumni Evening in Chelsea London (Jul 2021)

In July 2021, I had the privilege of being commissioned as the London event photographer for a distinguished evening hosted by Thunderbird School of Global Management, part of Arizona State University. Held in the Michelin Building in Chelsea, this alumni reception marked the official launch of Thunderbird's London office and was attended by prominent alumni and faculty, including the Dean who flew in from the U.S.

The venue itself, with its iconic Art Deco design, provided a stylish and elegant backdrop to the evening, which included speeches, mingling, and celebrations over wine and canapés.

This intimate gathering of around 50 attendees aimed to strengthen the school's global alumni network and celebrate Thunderbird’s commitment to global leadership.

The event featured short speeches, including a few words from the Dean, followed by informal networking among the alumni - a perfect opportunity for Thunderbird to engage with its UK-based alumni and reaffirm its presence on the global stage.

As a professional event photographer, my mission was to capture the essence of this milestone occasion in a way that documented the excitement and joy of the attendees, as well as the success of this fabulous evening.

From key moments like the Dean’s address to candid shots of guests connecting and networking, I loved creating event visuals showcasing the sophistication and prestige of Thunderbird’s community. The event photos were used in press releases and across marketing and communication channels, helping to share the highlights of this landmark event.
