Professional event photography for Canary Wharf's Spiegeltent this September? Don't mind if I do! The fabulous programme spread over 11 days is promising to pour some fun and excitement of artistic nature into London's new banking and finance district at Canary Wharf.

If you admire performing arts as much as I do, a festival of fun with such an eclectic schedule of entertainment is truly a reason of exhilaration for any live performance photographer! Meant to have a bit of something for everyone - adults, children and families alike, the Mirror Tent was returning to the docks of Canary Wharf, at Canada Square Park. And from circus to music, dance and theatre, from comedy, crafts and magic to cabaret, I was looking forward to my new event photography challenge!

The first of the two live shows I signed up to capture for the organisers was the cabaret night - Peggy Sued's Variety Pack. The brainchild of Las Vegas veteran and London Wonderground performer Abigail Collins, the show opened the Spiegeltent season as a treat for the slightly older audiences, with humour and routines swinging back and forth between playful, enticing, bewildering, sexy and funny. 

And the mix was brilliant. The cabaret concoction brought outstanding energy to the very intimate stage and so many fabulous photo opportunities: there was magic, there were jokes, some hula-hooping, burlesque dancing, acrobatics and even 'chap-hop' music, plus adorable audience members completely absorbed in these performances!
